Thanksgiving Day is an American holiday in which people reunite with their love ones to give thanks for all the blessings. In November, the preschool students worked on the story and learned about traditions of this celebration; they thought over how blessed they are and made a thanking tree about it.
On November 27th, 2014, students celebrated Thanksgiving Day with a sharing day. Everyone brought something to share related to the holiday, sang songs, said their prayers and even invited special guest that they cherish for the great human beings they are.
Bears and Lions, our kindergarten students, had a wonderful experience on their visit to ANDOKE foundation. They participated on different activities related to the Butterfly cycle. They observed the butterflies life cycle in the lab and made butterflies with clay. At the "Mariposario" the kids had contact with lots of butterflies; they flew very near, and some of them even landed on their fingers, caps or shoulders.
On May 6th Ducks and Rabbits celebrated Father´s Day with a beautiful dynamic day. Fathers had a great time sharing all together every single moment we had planned for them. First, they watched an amazing video about parenting at the video room which made them feel very touched.
Each of us made a beautiful T-shirt as a gift. We started by coloring fun designs on the sandpaper. Once the design was colored with bright crayons, our teacher ironed, on cotton setting, the sand paper. We made sure we had a good print. And guess what? We got a new darling t-shirt.
